The Teddy Bear Care Fair - 7/27/14

Today was the first annual 'Teddy Bear Care Fair' at the Denver Zoo! It's basically a health fair for every little kid's favorite stuffed animal. They had an admissions station where vitals were taken and everyone received a small stuffed version of the zoo's new mascot, 'Elbert'; then there were six more stations inside the zoo for dental health, x-rays and casts, nutrition, and so on. There were also lots of professional sports mascots walking around to greet the kids. It was very cute and lots of fun!

 Elbert meets Fuzzy!

 The Admissions Station.
Each fuzzy friend had their weight, temperature and blood pressure taken.

 Fuzzy doesn't have any cavities!

This is Elbert! He is the zoo's new mascot.

Harrison got to meet the pachyderm zookeeper, Dave Johnson, and even got an autographed book personalized especially for him.

Time for x-rays. Uh-oh! Fuzzy and "B" have some broken bones.
