Visit to Nana's House! April 2013

We visited Nana's house in California at the end of April and everyone had a great time. Harrison and Declan got to play with their cousins, Nick and Sam (Harrison even had two sleepovers at their house), we all took the ferry to San Francisco for the day, spent a day in Sonoma, and had a picnic in the park. Plus, there was a surprise birthday party in store for Nana!

On the ferry to spend a day in San Francisco.

Karen, Kevin, Sam, Harrison, Nick, and Declan.

Nick and Harrison had lots of fun spending time together!

 Karen and Sam.

We ate lunch at Bubba Gump's and then 'tried on' Forrest Gump's shoes.

Declan was really interested in the binoculars posted on the pier for looking at Alcatraz.

On the way back to the Ferry Building via an open-air tram.

Since Charles Schultz was from Santa Rosa, there are lots of Peanuts characters hanging around Santa Rosa and the surrounding towns. So, we had to stop and say 'Hello' to Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

We spent one day at the a park near Nana's house, where we had a picnic, rode the train, and played in the park. Lots of fun!

 Neato!

Declan loved climbing on this 'spider web'.

SURPRISE!! Happy surprise birthday party for Nana! Doesn't she look surprised?

YUMMY! The cake was worth the wait.

Of course, the balloons belong to the kids at the end of the party!

Nana had a great patio for playing.

We also spent a day in Sonoma for lunch, playing in the town square park, and riding the train at TrainTown.

Surrounded by love.
