Yesterday, we got home from our awesome Kansas City Adventure to see 'Wild Kratts Live!' at the Lied Center in Lawrence, KS. We had a wonderful time and filled up every minute of our time with fun!
One of the highlights of our time there was a visit to 'Paul Messner Puppets', where we saw a puppet show about 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. Aside from enjoying the show, we also saw lots of puppets, including 'Oscar the Grouch', and even brought home some puppets to make.
We also spent one whole day at the Deanna Rose Children's Farm in Overland Park, KS. What an amazing place for kids! Harrison and Declan learned all about pretty much everything on a farm in the early 1900's. They got to fish, mine, feed goats, ride ponies, milk (pretend) cows, take a wagon ride and learn some history in the old bank, barbershop and blacksmith buildings.
Mining for gems was a BIG hit!
Riding the horses was Declan's favorite activity on the farm.
Time for fishing!
We all nominated Grammy to put the worms on the hooks.
Worms!
Declan caught a fish within just a few minutes!!
Harrison didn't have much luck with the fish, but he did catch a disgusting plastic glove.
The wagon ride was a lot of fun and Harrison and Declan especially liked burying themselves in the hay.
On Friday, we had lunch at an adorable little train restaurant named, Fritz's. You order your meal over a phone at the table and then the food is delivered to your table by a toy train! So much fun!!
After lunch, we spent the afternoon at 'Legoland Discovery Center', where there was a special 'Star Wars' exhibit made out of Legos!
