Today was the last day of summer break for Harrison and we had a blast!
We dropped off school supplies and then headed straight to the zoo to feed the giraffes, check out the giant animal Lego sculptures and ride the carousel. We went with our friends next door and enjoyed a beautiful day of perfect weather.
After we explored the zoo, we made our way to the Denver Botanic Gardens where the giant corpse flower was blooming for the first time ever in the Rocky Mountain Region! It is a STINKY flower that only blooms for two days and won't bloom again for up to ten years!
The kids also put on a play at the children's garden all about the seasons of the year. And, of course they took a big bow at the end!
What better way to end a fun-filled day than with funny faces!
