Egg Hunt at Waneka Lake Park - 3/28/15

This morning we went egg hunting! The city of Lafayette was having it's annual Easter Egg Hunt at Waneka Lake Park, so we headed over there to find some eggs. We met our fellow egg hunters, Dylan and Finn (and their parents), at the park and had a great morning with lots of sunshine!

Kevin even had just enough time to join us on the hunt this morning before he had to fly off to work.

The Easter Bunny arrived on a fire truck and then the hunt began!!

Easter Bunny Visit - 2015

Harrison and Declan enjoyed their annual visit with the Easter Bunny this year. Their only easter basket request was chocolate!

The Omaha Zoo - 3/26/15

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Nebraska during Spring Break this week, and yesterday we explored the Omaha Zoo. 

Harrison and Declan had a blast!

The Omaha Zoo is ranked #1 in the world!

First stop: "The Desert Dome". It was one of our favorite areas at the zoo.

  I'm not sure what kind of desert bird this was, but he was definitely giving us the 'evil eye'.

 We got to watch the penguin feeding at The Aquarium.

 The jellyfish were amazing!

 Harrison loved the rainforest.

 Harrison's favorite animal was the tapir.

 Hmmm.... which one is the monkey??

 I think it was nap time when we got to the tigers, because they were all lounging and sleeping.

 The sun bear was sunning himself in a tree.

 This was adorable! The little girl in the window kept waving at this gorilla; and the gorilla would walk around, come back, sit down, and wave back at her! 

 Harrison and Declan both got to brush the animals at the Children's Farm.

What a fun outing!!
