Halloween Cookie Play Date - 10/19/14

 This morning we hosted our annual Halloween cookie-decorating play date with our friend, Finn. The boys each got to decorate one giant pumpkin cookie along with lots of little ghosts and pumpkins. The kitchen was covered in sprinkles by the time we were finished, but it was worth it, and the cookies were frightfully delicious!!

Declan had a lot of fun trying out the piping bags. Mostly, he managed to add giant globs of frosting to his cookies.

Bug-A-Boo Halloween Celebration - 10/18/14

Harrison and Declan got to wear their costumes for the first time this year to the annual 'Bug-a-Boo' Halloween party at the Butterfly Pavilion. There was candy, pumpkin decorating, face-painting, tarantula holding, and more!

"Never Jump in a Pile of Leaves with a Wet Sucker!" 10/15/14

Declan is such a funny little guy. Ever since he got a big red sucker at the zoo this past weekend, he has been plotting when he could find a chance to 'jump in a pile of leaves with a wet sucker'. I guess the 'Peanuts' Halloween Special really made an impression!

More Pumpkin Picking - 10/13/14

 There was no school today, so we set out for Cottonwood Farms (a pumpkin patch in Boulder) for a pumpkin patch play date with a friend from preschool. The kids conquered the hay maze, tried the corn maze, fed the farm animals and picked pumpkins!

The Great Pumpkin Harvest Festival - 10/4/14

Today, we kicked autumn into high gear at "The Great Pumpkin Harvest Festival" in Denver! We picked pumpkins (big pumpkins!) from the pumpkin patch, feasted on apple cider donuts, toasted coconut ice cream and hot dogs. We panned for gold, took a ride on a horse-drawn wagon, and enjoyed the beautiful day. We had lots of fall fun!!
