Today, we celebrated a gorgeous autumn day at the Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Four Mile Historic Park in Denver. It was so much fun! We picked pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, took a ride in a horse-drawn stage coach, panned for gold, tried some Indian Fry Bread, and enjoyed the beautiful autumn day with friends.
A trio of 'pumpkin heads'!
The inside of a reconstructed Native American teepee.
That's our Indian Fry Bread he is making! It was delicious with honey, cinnamon, and sugar!
Panning for gold.
Declan struck it rich!
That's the stage coach we rode...the horses even trotted for a short time! Declan LOVED it, he kept saying, "go fast again, go fast again"!
Waiting patiently to ride the stage coach.
A happy Declan riding the stage coach.
Declan also loved petting the horses that pulled the coach.
Yippee!
There were lots of historic recreations all over the park.
An 'old-timey' Harrison.
HAPPY AUTUMN!
