Lunch with Two Mini Goof balls - 9/30/13

I took Harrison and Declan out to lunch at 'SmashBurger' today; and I think the lemonade made them a little bit goofy! They got mango-peach smoothies after lunch, too, so they were in heaven.

A Perfect Fall Day at the Zoo - 9/23/13

What a gorgeous, autumn day we had today! We spent the day at the zoo and the animals were all out enjoying the cooler weather and there was almost no one there. We got to see lots of animals and Harrison wanted a picture of practically everything!

Declan was the guardian of the popcorn all day. That little kid LOVES popcorn!

A ride on the carousel is always a must. It took Harrison quite awhile to pick out this cheetah for his ride. Since the zoo was practically empty, there were too many open seats from which to choose!

We saw a one-week old baby flamingo!

Declan got to feed the lorikeets some nectar...they were hungry!!

 Learning about the tapir.

We even got to see a show all about the asian elephant at the zoo, named "Groucho".

It was such a fun day, Harrison did a dance!!

Mr. Independent - 9/22/13

Declan didn't like his lunch yesterday, so in the afternoon, I found him up on a chair, practically crawling inside the refrigerator, trying to reach the peanut butter! Since he seemed so desperate, I helped him make a sandwich and his tummy was much happier.

Iceland - September 2013

Since I haven't got any new pictures of Harrison and Declan, I thought I would throw in some shots from my trip to Iceland with Jane! We had a fabulous time and saw a lot of Iceland. Here we are at the glacier on our second full day. We also saw geysers, volcanos, mountains, the Blue Lagoon, the ocean, black sandy beaches, and enjoyed some great food in Reykjavik.

Since we arrived at 6am, we had to get some breakfast! This is a classic Icelandic donut, called a kleinur. It was very tasty!

Reykjavik, in the central downtown area where we stayed.

 Seljalandsfoss Waterfall.

Black volcanic sand beach on the south coast.

 Traditional Icelandic Lamb Stew.

At the glacier.

Gullfoss Waterfall...the second most powerful waterfall in Europe.

The geyser area. One of them, named Strokkur, erupts every 4-6 minutes.

 Strokkur erupting!

 Thingvellir National Park.

 Reykjavik harbor area.

Harpa Concert Hall.

 The Sun Voyager sculpture.

Hofdi House, where President Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev met in 1986 to discuss the Cold War.

Hot chocolate was a treat on a windy day!

 The square in downtown Reykjavik.

This was the beginning of a fabulous meal at the 'Fish Market' in Reykjavik.

Shrimp Tempura with seaweed salad and lime jalapeno dressing...and lobster coconut curry soup with mandarins...DELICIOUS!!

Hallgrimskirkja, the largest church in Iceland.

My ham, cheese, and fried egg sandwich on our last night...yummy!
